RELYON Hawkhurst

This is an extremely popular bed in our range of double pocket sprung models in our range of bespoke Relyon beds that are made to our own specifications as they have been for the last  40 years.

The Hawkhurst is the second model of the double pocket sprung sets within our  handmade pocket sprung range .

The Mattress boasts -

Over 2400 handnested pocket springs in cotton calico in two layers  one on top of the other.

This is done to achieve a deeper spring unit and must be tried to be appreciated , a light weight person compresses the top spring a slighty heavier person will go into the lower spring .

There are a number of advantages to this system -

(1) you can grow or shrink with the bed ie weight gain or loss and it will still suit you.

(2) It gives an amazing feel of weightless support to the bed 

(3) It is easier to find a mattress to suit a couple of differing weights without having to opt for a zip & link set.

Four rows of hand side stitching to prevent the collapse of the sides & roll off , we will not sell a two tier pocket sprung mattress with less than three rows of side stitching as the spring units are too tall for any less!

An upholstery of hand teased cotton, lambswool, hand teased hair and cotton felt which provide a naturally upholstered mattress with a fantastic feel and resilience.

The base boasts -

1000 pocket springs on a wooden glued and screwed unit , drawers are available as an option .
